Lappeenranta Dance Institute is a top-level dance institute that provides basic education in the arts (dance). The minimum age of the students is two years, but there is no upper age limit: the selection also includes a wide range of dance classes for adults.

The selection of dance classes for beginners:
- a child (2–3 yrs) and their guardian
– the child attends the dance class accompanied by a familiar adult - children’s dance, 4–6 yrs
– the basics of dance for boys and girls - Wild boys, 5–7 yrs
– a dance class for boys - Acro dance, 7-11 yrs and older
– a dance class for boys - Basics of dance, 7 yrs and older
– the basics of dance for boys and girls - Ballet for teens, 10 yrs and older
- Just dance, 10 yrs and older
– the basics of contemporary dance, jazz dance, and show jazz spiced with street styles - Contemporary dance, 10 yrs and older
- Jazz dance, 10 yrs and older
- Breakdance, 9 yrs and older
- Street dance, 10 yrs and older
- Ballet, street dance, jazz, contemporary dance, show jazz for adults
- Wild mamas & papas
– a dance class for active adults, 60 yrs or older

Equipment needed at dance classes:
Dance equipment is principally acquired through the Dance Institute as a joint order of each group. You’ll use a form through our website to order, and your teacher will then deliver your equipment once they arrive.
Our Dancers Etiquette:
1. I will arrive to class on time.
2. I will greet the teacher and fellow classmates as I arrive.
3. I will use the bathroom facilities before class, if needed.
4. I will wear the appropriate dance attire, and remember to take my watch off my wrist, as well as any jewellery. I will turn my phone off.
5. I will tie my hair up.
6. My other clothes will be neatly placed away during class.
7. I will not chew gum or candy during class.
8. I will listen and follow directions given to me by the teacher, and I’ll let everyone focus.
9. I am a friend to my fellow classmates, and will cheer them on mutually.
10. Dance lessons are about having fun!

The Autumn term starts on Thursday, August 17th, 2023.
The Autumn term ends on Thursday, December 21st, 2023.
The Spring term starts on Monday, January 8th, 2024.
The Spring term ends on Friday, May 31st, 2024.
