BALLET FOR ADULTS
Ballet is an aesthetic art form that offers diverse exercise. In addition to improving turnouts, an essential part of ballet technique, the classes enhance the students’ balance, as well as skipping and turning techniques. The students will perform exercises both at the barre and on the centre floor.
In the ballet for adults -classes the students will learn the basics of ballet technique, observing the restrictions of an adult body. In addition to the dance technique, the classes include exercises that improve flexibility and strength of the body, and relaxation exercises. Small-scale dance arrangements will also be performed during the classes.
The Ballet for adults 1 -group is aimed at beginners who are interested in ballet. The students of the Ballet for adults 2 -group have trained ballet or some other dance style or sports form for a year, and the students of the Ballet for adults 3 -group have trained ballet for at least two years.
The duration of the ballet for adults classes is 75 minutes.

CONTEMPORARY DANCE FOR ADULTS
Contemporary dance is a diverse art and sports form that combines various dance styles and techniques, pair work, acrobatics, and creative dance expression into an interesting whole. Creativity, expression, and an experiental approach are emphasised in contemporary dance.
In the contemporary dance for adults -classes the students learn about the dance style observing the restrictions of an adult body. In addition to the dance technique, the students will learn body control, dance expression, and space perception. Dance improvisation is also an essential part of contemporary dance classes. Small dance arrangements will be compiled into a dance performance at the end of the Spring term.
The students of the contemporary dance for adults -class have a 75-minute class, once a week.
JAZZ DANCE FOR ADULTS
The essential elements of jazz dance, a style developed within the Afro-American culture, include the isolation technique of the various parts of the body, looseness of movement, and a rhythmic and dynamic expression. In addition to African influences, this diverse and energetic dance style has been influenced by contemporary dance, ballet, and musical dances.
The jazz dance for adults -classes focus on the jazz dance technique, observing the restrictions of an adult body. In addition to dance technique, the classes include body maintenance. Small dance arrangements will be compiled into a dance performance during the year.
Jazz dance for adults has two level groups: the students of the jazz dance for adults 1 have trained some dance style or sports form for one year and the students of the jazz dance for adults 2 have trained dance for several years.

STREET DANCE FOR ADULTS
Street dance is a dance style that stems from youth culture and music. Street dance includes several dance styles, such as hip hop, locking, popping, and house. The street dance for adults classes introduce the basics of these styles, observing the restrictions of an adult body. In addition to developing body control, the sense of rhythm, and physical fitness, this laid-back and energetic dance style also brings joy and boosts the spirit.
Street dance for adults is divided into two level groups: street dance 1 is aimed at beginners, whilst the students of the street dance 2 -group have trained street dance or some other dance style for a year.

WILD MAMAS & PAPAS
This dance group is aimed at energetic adults, over 60-year-olds who are interested in dancing. It is never too late to start dancing, as dance is for everyone regardless of age! The wild mamas & papas classes introduce dance in a calm manner, listening to the body and spicing the dance up with joy and humour. The contents of the classes also include the basics of ballet that improve the posture and balance, contemporary dance that enhances the flexibility of the back and the limbs, and jazz dance that develops the management of rhythm. Naturally, the classes also include various body maintenance elements.
